The Informers Top Ten Fantasy Football 2012 Draft Prospects: No. 4 WR Michael Floyd Notre Dame 6’2” 220lbs and 4.44

NFL.com: Welcome again to my top ten selections for this years NFL Draft class that will provide your fantasy football team with an immediate impact on fantasy football draft day. These selections reflect the value of players in fantasy football and not necessarily the world of NFL football.

With my 4th overall selection I will take WR Michael Floyd who has the potential to be a dominant NFL receiver!

Floyd is an overall great football player who shows skill beyond just a receiving skills set.  Floyd is physical, plays through injuries, has strong blocking skills, and most of all is competitive.  Floyd could have been just as successful playing on the other side of the line of scrimmage.

Floyd’s talent is his ability to go up and fight for balls away from defenders. Floyd can catch the ball with ease over the middle and make plays after the catch.

While he had a string of DUI’s in college Floyd clearly is putting his past mistakes behind him and focusing on football.

However what concerns me more is Floyd’s millage and injuries including knee, hamstring, and shoulder. This could make Floyd susceptible to future injuries and IR so keep that in mind on draft day in September.

Regardless of injury Floyd is most likely a boom rather then a bust.

I see Floyd’s overall value being a second option as a fantasy football receiver possibly going as early as the 6th round.

The Informers Top Ten Fantasy Football 2012 Draft Prospects: No. 6 WR Stephen Hill Georgia Tech 6’4” 215lbs and 4.33

NFL.com: Welcome again to my top ten selections for this years NFL Draft class that will provide your fantasy football team with an immediate impact on fantasy football draft day.  These selections reflect the value of players in fantasy football and not necessarily the world of NFL football.

With my 6th overall selection I will take Stephen Hill the wide out from Georgia Tech that broke a school record for averaging 29.3 yards per reception.

Hill is a dream for any NFL receivers coach with lots of raw talent.  However with that said Hill may be the most significant boom or bust pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Hill has a background in track, basketball, as well as many other sports but the problem is he has some inefficiencies at the receiver position most notably his knowledge of receiving routes.

However I believe this will also play into Hill’s ultimate success since most coaches are not looking for a receiver with Hill’s physical attributes to run complicated routes.  Instead Hill will mostly likely be used to draw double coverage and just go long!

Their is a lot more gamble on Hill then then most 2012 NFL Draft picks and likewise in the world of fantasy football.  However Hill could develop into a either a deep sleeper or a immediate fantasy football next big thing.  This is all going to depend on the team that selects him.

Lets say he is acquired by the Patriots and Tom Brady is throwing to him then Hill could be Randy Moss 2.0.  However if acquired by a team like the Jets that are unstable at QB (lets face it Sanchez could be no better then Tebow) then I expect Hill to struggle.

While my hopes are high for Hill keep him in mind after training camp is finished in August.  Observe his playing time, total receptions, yards per reception, and most of all is he a starting receiver.  Hill is going to be a large football size diamond in the rough in my humble opinion.

Hill should be drafted as a overall third option at receiver most likely a 8th round pick in fantasy football drafts if he joins a veteran QB and established offensive system.

ProFootballWeekly What could cause the value of Oklahoma wide-receiver Justin Blackmon to slide in the NFL Draft?

Well the answer is the perfect storm that may be brewing in NFL and the Browns and Jaguars are the ones that control Blackmon’s fate.

Oklahoma wide-receiver Justin Blackmon could slide out of the top seven but will the his drop in value be his own undoing or just due to circumstances beyond control.

The Informers Top Ten Fantasy Football 2012 Draft Prospects: No. 10 RG3 Baylor 6’2” 223lbs and 4.39

Video NFL.com Welcome to my top ten selections for this years NFL Draft class that will provide your fantasy football team with an immediate impact on fantasy football draft day.  These selections reflect the value of players in fantasy football and not necessarily the world of NFL football.

My tenth selection overall is Robert Griffin III or RG3 for short and while he is fast and can be a steady and productive QB for the future for the Washington Redskins his fantasy football production is not as strong as some mid tier veteran QB’s.

RG3 is going to playing in a difficult division among the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and the improved Philadelphia Eagles.  This is what also ranks him so low on my list.

While the Redskins have a gone to free agency and acquired talented receiver Pierre Garcon, and the not as talented Josh Morgan their is still room for improvement.

The Redskins have a good not great running game and the biggest worry I have is will RG3 be asked to do to much to soon?

While his Overall Draft value is 2nd overall in the NFL I believe his fantasy football value is a 10th round backup QB overall.
