Saints QB Drew Brees Skips Mandatory MiniCamp

NFL.com While this isn’t news to make you question if you should draft Drew Brees it is also not an endorsement.  Just how many distractions can a team have before it effects them on the field?

While my 2012 Draft Cheat Sheet is not posted yet it is dilemmas like this one that make me want to slow down and just keep analyzing my projections.

The biggest dilemma is the human factor and that is not measurable however it is still a factor.

Peyton Manning throws with the Broncos

NFL.com The Denver Broncos landed possibly the hottest NFL free agent that was available this season but how is his arm?

NFL.com : Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is he still a top tier pick?

NFL.com is reporting that Vikings running-back Adrian Peterson is working towards a week one return.  Peterson suffered a ruptured ACL and a torn MCL in a week sixteen game against the Washington Redskins.

This leaves us with a serious dilemma from a fantasy football perspective.  What is Adrian Peterson’s value?

Some are saying don’t risk a top seven pick on him and if you do he should be a second/third overall running-back.

However that doesn’t really appear to be reasonable after watching this video.

Peterson is jumping, running, but not cutting on the knee and here lies the problem.  Can AP cut on that knee?  We just won’t know until the Vikings clear him to play.

No matter what keep a close eye in AP’s rehab and if he slides past the 4th round on draft day I think he is a risk worth taking.

NFL.com Gregg Rosenthal puts all the OTA hype into perspective.  It appears that every team has a player that is the next NFL superstar and every writer is putting it in print to say they saw it first.

First what is an OTA? OTA is a acronym for Organized Team Activity more or less practice.

Remember that sound bite from 76’ers guard Alan Iverson about practice?

Well Iverson was right. Were talking about practice? Really? Not a game but practice.

My tip is don’t read to much into this rookie camp garbage instead stick to what you know.  When training camp begins we will have a better idea of who is NFL ready.  When the second week of NFL preseason games begin we can start to separate the men from the boys.  When the First NFL game is played the picture will clear and by week 7 in the NFL regular season we know what is real and what is OTA hype.

Because how the HELL are we going to judge a player in OTA practice!

Alshon Jeffery hasn't caught one NFL reception but he looks GREAT IN PRACTICE! That and other garbage.
