SI.com: Will Carroll The Injury Expert writes about living with cancer
SI.com Inside Fantasy Football: Who Do You Take?
SI.com With the fantasy football draft this weekend and not a lot of time left to gather information you need some solid advice. Erick Mack provides some draft day insight on who to pick and who to pass.
What Luck!
NFL.com This just makes me sick! The Redskins and now the Colts both have quarterbacks with great potential this season. They also have great fantasy football potential as well.
Now while I have hesitation about evlevating both players overall fantasy football value I cannot ignore their talent. Both Luck and RGIII have the demeanor of a veteran QB.
As much as most will naturally compare Luck to Manning they are both very different quarterbacks.
In addition to his pin point passing accuracy Luck has play making potential with his feet. Luck is not a pocket passer he can make plays on his feet just like Cam Newton, Michael Vick, and Donovan McNabb which why he is so deadly.
While Luck doesn’t have the cannon that Vick, Newton, and McNabb posses he can throw a fast ball inside the receivers numbers. Something that some play makers lack.
Look for Luck to continue to progress.
NFL.com No Luck with the Colts?
NFL.com While Andrew Luck has noble and personal reasons for attending school and not OTA mini camps his coach has another opinion. To be honest his coach is right!
The Fantasy Football Informer Podcast IV
The Informer talks about the scumbags at Reebok, Andrew Luck and RGIII overall fantasy football value, and John Gruden’s QB Camp!
SI.com: Are the Colts having second thoughts about Luck
SI.com So let me get this straight the Colts parted with former GM Bill Polian, former Head Coach Jim Caldwell, and former franchise quarterback Peyton Manning all to make room for a new era of Colts football.
The center piece of that new era is the number one prospect of the 2012 NFL Draft Andrew Luck. However they are seriously considering taking RG3 over Luck now?
While RG3 is the second best prospect over all in the NFL draft he is still the second best prospect.
Luck is still the best prospect overall.
SI.com : Luck to Wayne? So much for following Peyton...
SI.com The Associated Press is reporting that Reggie Wayne has agreed to a deal with the Indianapolis Colts in principal.
The deal almost guarantees that Wayne will retire as a Colt instead of following long time teammate Peyton Manning.
Injury Expert Will Carroll answers questions about Peyton Manning’s fusion surgery
SI writer Will Carroll is considered by fantasy enthusiast the best source for advice on professional athlete’s injuries and recovery. Carroll covers fantasy baseball and fantasy football and while he is not a doctor; to all who write about the fantasy industry he is the Dr. James Andrews of fantasy sports.
Carroll’s depth of investigation on injuries makes him a must follow on twitter and SI.com.
While the game we play is a fantasy Carroll’s no none sense approach to real life sports injuries gives his readers insight to what they can expect. Everything from a MLB pitchers injured rotator cuff to NFL quarterbacks post concussions.
Yesterday Carroll answered some quick questions I had about former Indianapolis Colt Peyton Manning and the speculation over his fusion surgery.
TheFFInformer: What is the risk of Manning’s neck injury and is there a greater risk of paralysis after fusion surgery?
Carroll: No, the neck is fused, so it’s actually stronger than most people’s (but a bit less flexible.) He’s at no more risk than anyone for paralysis.
TheFFInformer: How much is his arm strength and throwing motion affected by the fusion surgery? Can he throw across his body?
Carroll: His arm strength is coming back and is at a playable level now. The video showed him (specifically) throwing across his body.
I want to thank Will Carroll for taking the time and granting me the permission to write his reply on my blog.
I encourage you all to click on the hyperlink to his twitter account and follow Carroll. Also Will is busy writing about fantasy baseball which is about to begin soon so checkout his columns on SI.com.
SI.com: Where might Manning land?
SI.com Let the where in the world is Peyton Manning officially begin!
I will tell you this don’t be surprised if Manning and former Colts receiver Reggie Wayne land together in the same city.
NFL.com: Peyton Manning and Jim Irsay Divorce Press Conference
NFL.com It is official the married couple has divorced… all kidding aside the real question how is Manning’s arm and his progress? Peyton responds to those questions.
