The Mail Bag
Your going to not like this because I have a feeling Kenny Britt is headed for the IR. This is why. Last September he had surgery on his torn ACL followed by an arthroscopic surgery in May. During that period of time he had to have treatment for his knee however he missed a treatment due to his confusion with what was a day off of practice.
When NFL players are injured they are not allowed to practice and have an entirely different regiment. NFL players are required to attend physical to speed the healing process.
Now this is just me and my opinion but I don’t buy for one second that Britt misunderstood the rules and schedule of treatment. This also makes me wonder how seriously he took treatment.
One of the the stories we heard all off season was how much work Minnesota Vikings running-back Adrian Peterson was putting into his physical rehab and that he was ahead of his schedule. Peterson had two touchdowns, averaged 4.9 yards a carry, and 84 for yards rushing on 17 attempts and I didn’t trust his knee because what he did was physically amazing!
So I have to ask this question what has Kenny Britt done to be physically ready to play? Also do you trust Titans QB Jake Locker?
Until Britt plays you sit him and start Stevie Johnson who is a very good start this weekend.
Johnson and the Bills play the Kansas City Chiefs who they demolished last season 41-7 in KC.
Johnson who was favoring a groin injury last week had what I consider a good game against the leagues best secondary defense.
I know Britt is tempting start but I just don’t trust him.
